After 20 years in the field of journalism, Violeta discovered her passion for teaching. She’s inspired by suggestopedia as a teaching method. It encouraged her to pursue a teaching career in the field of Bulgarian as a foreign language. Initially, she worked with adult students, later on extending her activities to teach children.
Violeta obtained her Master’s degrees in journalism and primary education from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.” She’s a trained suggestopedia expert after completing her course with Prof. Dr. Georgi Lozanov and Prof. Dr. Evelina Gateva’s foundation.
Learning by doing is a main focus in the realm of suggestopedia. It makes learning approachable and fun to help students internalise knowledge.
Over the past three years, Violeta has dedicated her time to primary education. As a teacher, she’s inspired by the joy that children experience when learning. She believes that a teacher is meant to support and stimulate all students to help them discover their individual strengths. She believes that teaching Bulgarian as a foreign language takes everyone on an exciting journey that presents the richness of the Bulgarian heritage and culture.
