Vyara Mihaylova

French Language Teacher

Vyara Mihaylova is a French Language and dance teacher at British School of Sofia, teaching across the PYP, MYP, and IB Diploma Programme with a personal, content-based approach to language learning. Using Content-Based Instruction, she connects language acquisition to meaningful, real-world content, helping students build genuine fluency and confidence.

Vyara teaches dance as part of the Arts Curriculum from Nursery through Grade 2. As the founder and leader of the school's Ballet Club, she inspires students to discover the art of ballet, develop graceful movement, and build a healthy connection with their bodies.

She holds a Master's degree in Educational Management from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski," and a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature, including a period of study in France.

Her professional qualifications include certifications in IB French B, PYP, CBI: Discovering Concept-Based Arts, and Foundations of Concept-Based Literacy and Language, alongside a DELF B2 Diploma in French Language Studies from the French Ministry of National Education and a Diploma of Professional Grade in Finance (1st Grade). This combination of pedagogical training and language expertise shapes her thoughtful, well-rounded approach to teaching.

Outside the classroom, Vyara is the founder of "Красавицата и Вяра" (The Beauty and Faith), a social cause that has supported underprivileged youth in Bulgaria for over 10 years.
