British Kindergarten - Our Curriculum

What is the International Early Years Curriculum IEYC

The International Early Years Curriculum is an innovative approach, recognising global best practices and the developmental needs of 2 to 5-year-olds. All learning and development goals focus on five Learning Strands:

  • Independence and Interdependence
  • Communicating
  • Enquiring
  • Healthy Living
  • Physical Well-Being

Children learn best through the pleasant activity of play, but more importantly, while having fun, they discover how to learn. Every experience our youngest students go through opens a new door; they start with exploring and finish with expressing their new understandings. This cycle of impressing, analysing, and communicating is repeated daily with every new piece of the topic puzzle.

International Early Years Curriculum

At this stage, the development goals are skill-based. Learning is conceptualised, and the children do not have subjects. The day is organised as one big adventure with one big goal. To achieve that goal, our students must communicate through numbers, letters, dance, or art. That’s how they create the new, colourful and exciting kindergarten world.
