Dr Radosveta Stamenkova from the Family Planning Association in Bulgaria held a presentation about puberty, sexual maturing and hygiene.

What should we know about reproduction and sexual maturing so that we can take proper care for our bodies? How should we keep healthy when it comes to our intimate parts?

These other questions cornering prevention of sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancy were discussed during the today’s presentation.

Students’ genuine interest in the topic brought the discussion to a conclusion about the role of self-discipline and highly developed sense of responsibility towards oneself and others we interact with.

 The presentation allowed the Personal Social Health Education teachers to assess the needs of low secondary students for Relationships and sex education which will reflect in a tailored planning for this strand of the course, for the next academic year.
