`The accomplishments of the British School of Sofia vocal group are undeniable and since the beginning of this academic year, they’ve once again proven to be an exceptionally talented and ambitious bunch.

Under the skillful guidance of professional vocal coach Eleonora Bakalova, the BSS talented singers won multiple trophies from two recognised international music competitions – the Sofia Grand Prix and Greece’s Hope in Nafplion.

In Greece, our students competed against a diversified group of international singers from countries like Moldova, Poland, Romania, Greece, Serbia, Armenia, Malta, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Estonia, Switzerland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Turkey, North Macedonia, Latvia, Sweden, and others. The British School of Sofia vocal group won multiple awards, including a first place for musical performance.

Held from September 25 to 29, 2024, Greece’s Hope is a competition for talented vocalists aged four to 24+. Apart from featuring various singing categories, the festival also recognises dancing, instrumental performances, dramatic reading, fine art, theatre, and even circus shows.

The BSS vocal group also participated in Sofia Grand Prix that took place from September 19 to 21 at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.

We received awards as a vocal group and for musical & movie song performance. The vocal group shone bright with a It’s a Hard Knock Life performance.

Sofia Grand Prix encompasses participants from multiple countries. The junior division recognises talent across various age groups – from the under eight age group to the oldest junior participants aged 15 to 18.
