On the 6th and 7th of April, the town of Dupnitsa pulsates with the vitality and fervour of the State Taekwondo Championship (WT), hosting participants from all age groups and disciplines. Among the competitors, Taekwondo Club Samson showcases its strength with a total of 64 athletes, competing in "Sparring" and "Technical Breaking." This event not only highlights the athletes' technical skills but also their relentless commitment and drive.
Representing the British School of Sofia (BSS), students Iasmin and Maxim took part with notable distinction. Maxim celebrated his previous triumphs, and maintains his record of success, showcasing his exceptional abilities. Both students excel in the “High Kick” challenge, each earning well-deserved silver medals, thus contributing to the school's proud tradition of excellence in the sport.
Master Stoyan Panayotov, a respected and seasoned figure within the Taekwondo community, competes in both the "Sparring" and "Technical Breaking" disciplines. His expertise and dedication are rewarded with two gold medals, emphasizing his mastery and vital contributions to the sport.
The competition's second day saw Maxim in the Sparring competition where he faced an opponent from Team Barin. Though Maxim does not claim victory in his next match, his performance is formidable, and he secures a bronze medal.
The collective efforts of Taekwondo Club Samson culminated in a monumental achievement, winning 46 medals and taking first place in the overall rankings for "Technical Breaking." This victory celebrates their athletic prowess and sets a high benchmark for future competitions.
