The British School of Sofia celebrated Romanian Culture Week with an exceptional showcase of Romania's rich heritage and cuisine. On a vibrant Thursday morning, Romanian students and their families transformed the school's lunchroom into a feast of ethnic delicacies. Students enthusiastically introduced their cultural heritage, highlighting Romania's diverse wonders beyond the famous Dracula legend. With over 310 castles and landmarks like the colossal Palace of the Parliament, Romania's splendour was vividly brought to life by an engaging story-telling combined with a tasty bite.
The event featured an array of Romanian culinary treasures, from candies, cookies, and pies to tiny meatballs, sweet salami, savoury cured meats, and cheeses. The highlight was the exquisite apple juice, underscoring the apple's significance as a national symbol.
This celebration brought the school community together and offered a well-deserved spotlight on the rich culture and traditions of Romania, adding to BSS's tapestry of cultural diversity and learning.
