Q. How has life been after graduating from BSS? Where are you planning to continue your education and what will you be studying?
A. Following my studies at [the] British School of Sofia, I plan to pursue medicine. I’m certain the road ahead will be challenging but I’m eager to build upon the knowledge I've gained so far in school and dedicate myself to becoming a skilled doctor.
Q. What are you intending to do after college? Do you have a concept for the future?
A. Biology and Chemistry have always been my subjects of interest and after taking the HL Biology and Chemistry courses throughout high school, I feel ready to proceed with a career in medicine.
Q. What is your fondest BSS memory? What's the one thing you'll always remember as a part of the experience?
A. One of my fondest memories at BSS is the sense of community that developed over the years as I have been studying at the school since grade 1 and have grown up with the teachers and staff in the school.
Q. Which skills and types of academic knowledge you acquired at BSS do you find most valuable?
A. I believe one of the most valuable skills that I acquired was discipline and hard work which were necessary in coping with the academic requirements throughout my years of school. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme also encourages independent learning and research outside the syllabus (such as when writing the internal assessments and extended essay), which enabled me to enrich my knowledge around the subjects I love most.
Q. In your opinion, what are the British School of Sofia's biggest strengths?
A. BSS offers a strong sense of community, whereby the students, teachers, and staff create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. The school encourages students to become independent learners and thinkers and apply the knowledge they’ve gained to the real world.
