Silvia Azdreeva, our second guest on the “Powerful Women” project, made history on May 15th, 2022, by successfully summiting Mount Everest, becoming the second Bulgarian woman to reach the roof of the world.
Just 27 hours later, on May 16th, she climbed the neighboring 8-thousander, Mount Lhotse (8516m), making her the first Bulgarian woman to summit the fourth highest peak on Earth.
Silvia's relentless pursuit of success centers around the art of never giving up. During her recent presentation at BSS, she emphasized the importance of this mindset to a group of 5th and 6th graders.
Ms. Azdreeva shared her journey of overcoming challenges and pushing herself to achieve her goals. She spoke about the importance of perseverance, resilience, and determination in pursuing one's dreams.
Captivating our pupils was effortless for her. Even before she finished presenting, hands were already raised in eagerness to ask questions. The children were fascinated to learn about every detail of her journey to success, from her eating habits on the way up, to whether she showered, and which was the first peak she conquered.
Her speech left a deep impression on the young audience, inspiring them to set their own goals and work hard to achieve them.
