First School Day of the 2022-2023 Academic Year

It is so wonderful to see the school corridors full again. Students and teachers are excited to meet again and our newcomers – eager to meet new friends!
It is a tradition this event to be attended by a representative of the British Embassy Sofia. Deputy Head of Mission Mrs. Lynne Charles greeted our community and wished them a successful year.
As a British school in the premises of Bulgaria, we did not miss the Bulgarian customs: we poured water on the way of our students so that they have a smooth academic year and we welcomed them with bread loaf with honey and mixed salt.
Congratulations to the whole BSS Community on the start of the New Academic Year! May it be smooth and prosperous!
We start School Year 2022-2023 with 340 students who represent 43 nationalities.
