BSS Work Experience

As the only officially accredited British School Overseas in Bulgaria, we know that quality education is vital for success. By offering our pupils the IGCSE option, both to study full time and by which to be examined, they have an internationally accepted qualification that allows for easy transfer around the world.

From the previous year, an integral part of the curriculum of Grade 10 (IGCSE Year 2) is the BSS Work Experience – 1 week internship in a field that each of our students show interest in. It is an opportunity for them to learn more about the ‘world of work’ and to start developing new skills and competences.

Monika and Vesko for example had their practice in NOVA TV - they had the opportunity to have a tour of the TV; to experience how a live reportage is being made; to watch the News directly from from the studio!

Here we see also Marnus and Lia who spent 1 week in BBBA working on a project “How to present Bulgaria as an attractive investment destination".

Velin on another hand The Museum of Socialist Art. He spent a week there assisting in the preparation of one of their exhibitions. Indeed he showed great dedication and attention to details!

Some of our students decided to have their internship as Teacher Assistants at British School of Sofia, and other chose digital and softwar companies.
