British School of Sofia is a community that seeks to create an encouraging and healthy school environment and in order to ensure it, the school meals are provided by Chef Ivan Manchev. The weekly menu is consistent with the needs of the growing children.

We have to learn new things every day. We have to improve and upgrade ourselves constantly. In my last book I `ve written 61 receipts and I `ve prepared each of the receipts at least 3 times. Also, I`ve measured every single gramme carefully and  I `m sure if someone tries cooking, it`s going to be really good”.

High quality food brings health and builds a good taste”.

The food helps us describe new horizons and go far beyond”.

Health

School Health Service

We have a nurse who looks after the children and their illnesses and injuries during the school day.

Additional health services

We can arrange a meeting with a speech therapist or a psychologist.

Health Education

We focus on the child's health education and therefore Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is a part of our curriculum. PSHE promotes students' personal, social and emotional development, as well as their health and wellbeing. It helps them to gain knowledge and skills in order to lead confident, healthy and independent lives. It aims to help them understand how they are developing personally and socially, and tackles many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are a part of growing up.
